Ruislip photographer captures military aircraft in special nightshoot

Ruislip photographer Pete Glover captured these images of a range of interesting military aircraft at a special night shoot at Northolt Aerodrome.

This was an event for aviation enthusiasts to get up close to the aircraft that they rarely see at Northolt.

Desert Tornado GR4: The desert Pink Tornado GR4 is to celebrate 25 years of continuous combat operations. The plane stayed at Northolt overnight before departing the next day.





PZL-130 Orlik: The aircraft was designed by the polish and one of the most interesting aircraft at the Nightshoot. There where 2 Orliks present at the nightshoot




Lockheed Martin C-130J: The plane in the picture is the special livery of 47 SQN. The plane was the main attraction at the shoot during the engine run and when static. 47 SQN use the aircraft to re-supply Special Forces often carrying out missions deep into enemy territory.

Royal Navy Beechcraft Avenger T1: The aircraft is based out of RAF culdrose in Cornwall and is used for training and the aircraft arrived about 30 minutes before the start of the nightshoot.




Bae 146-300: The aircraft is used by 32 (TR) SQN. The squadron is based out of RAF Northolt and has five aircraft in its fleet - 2 BAe variants and 1 AW109.
