27 year-old dead after being struck by train

A man died after being struck by a train at a station in the Hillingdon Borough.

The 27 year-old's death has been confirmed today, after police were called out on Saturday afternoon to Hayes.

The name of the victim has not been released yet.

Police were called to Hayes and Harlington station after reports of a person struck by a train at around 5pm.

Services from Paddington station in London were cancelled while emergency services dealt with the scene.

A British Transport Police statement read: “Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service but sadly a 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His family have been informed of his death.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
