The annual Hayes Canal Festival will be taking place on Sunday between 12 noon and 5pm at High Point Village by Station Road canal bridge opposite Barclays Bank.
Organisers have warned that the demand for free boat rides is likely to be high and advised guests to arrive early to avoid disappointment. These will give visitors the chance to just sit back and relax as they cruise slowly along the waterway.
Those running the event have promised “fun and activities for all the family”. Activities on the day include:
- boat trips
- live music
- children's entertainment
- stalls and displays
Volunteers are still needed to help on the day.
Last year there were canoes and stand-up paddle boards for those with a sense of adventure and the chance to discover what lies beneath the water with free fishing taster sessions.
