Semi-naked man robbed at park after online chat leads to sex

A semi-naked man was robbed by a man he had just had sex with, after they met online.

The victim, in his 50s, was partially unclothed when the suspect said: "Do you want to see my knife?". He then stole bank cards, cash and a mobile phone.

The two men had been chatting online and arranged to meet at 3am at Northwood Recreation Ground.

Police said they spent the next few hours talking and walking around the grounds before making their way to the wooded area behind the recreation ground where they sat on a bench. They “continued talking on the bench before heading further into the wooded area where they engaged in consensual sexual activity”.

The alleged robber then pulled out a small multi-tool, took out the small knife blade and pointed it at the victim.

The Metropolitan Police said: “The victim had several personal items in his trousers, including bank cards, cash and a mobile phone.

“The suspect then picked up the victim's trousers and one of his shoes before running off.

“The victim tried to chase the suspect but he managed to escape.”

The robbery happened on Tuesday, 18 July, but details have just been released by the police. It happened at about 8am.

Detectives have released CCTV of a man “they would like to speak to”. See below.

The image came from a local shop where an attempt was made to use the victim's bank card.

The man in the CCTV is described as white, aged in his mid-20s, with short dark brown hair, with a trimmed beard and goatee.

Detective Constable Jessica Allen, the investigating officer from Hillingdon CID, said: "The suspect spent hours gaining his victim's trust so he could leave him in a vulnerable position making it easier to rob him.

“The victim feared for his safety during the incident, which has left him extremely distressed.

"We are keen to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV about the incident. If anyone recognises him, or has any information about the robbery, I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV, or anyone with information, should call Hillingdon CID on 020 8246 1791 or 101 or Tweet @MetCC.

Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at
