Detectives in Hillingdon borough today made an appeal for witnesses and information. The stabbing happened in Yeading Lane, Hayes on Wednesday, 25 October.
DC Emma Brookes of Hillingdon CID said: "This was a violent attack which left the victim with serious injuries which fortunately did not prove fatal.
"We are still investigating the circumstances, and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen something that could be of significance to our investigation. Any information provided would be treated in the strictest confidence."
Police were called at 8.48pm to Yeading Lane, Hayes, to reports of a man suffering from stab wounds.
Officers attended, along with the London Ambulance Service.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to a central London hospital. His condition was serious and he spent ten days in hospital before being discharged.
The police statement read: “It is believed that suspects arrived at the scene in vehicles and carried out the attack. The vehicles made off from the scene.”
